Seoul to Incheon Airport with luggage: 4 ways that actually work

Flying out of Incheon? You can check in your bags at Seoul Station and ride to the airport with just a backpack. Or skip the train: here are the 4 ways I'd actually use, with 2026 prices.

Option 1: City Airport Terminal (도심공항터미널)
Check in and go through immigration at Seoul Station, then take the AREX Express train (직통열차) to the airport. Follow the signs: "Airport Railroad & City Airport Terminal" (공항철도 도심공항터미널).

The escalators down are long, and they take this seriously. Someone once let a big heavy suitcase go down this escalator and badly hurt people. Since then they really enforce it: keep your suitcase behind you, not in front, and hold it tight. The sign says you can get criminal charges.

Go down to B2. Buy your AREX Express ticket first. You need it: only Express passengers can check in here.

Check-in counters: Korean Air, Asiana, Jeju Air, Jin Air, Trinity Airways (formerly T'way), Air Seoul, Air Busan, Eastar Jet. Immigration is right here too.
The counters are usually empty, so it's very easy. Getting there is the hard part, through all the people in the station.
Then through the Express gates and down to B7 for the train.
- Express train: 13,000 won per adult. 43 min to Terminal 1, 51 min to Terminal 2. A train every 30–40 min.
- Check-in: 5:20 AM–7:00 PM. Closes 3 hours 20 min before your flight.
- Who can use it: same-day international flights only. Not for codeshares, charters, travellers with pets or kids flying alone.
- Checked October 2026.
Option 2: Zimcarry (짐캐리), store or send your bags

Zimcarry is a storage and delivery shop inside Seoul Station. Two times this is great:
- Nothing much to do the day before your flight? Bring your bags to Seoul Station that day and fly light the next morning.
- Tired of carrying all your shopping around? Drop it here and keep walking.
Prices (October 2026):
- Store a suitcase, first 4 hours: S (up to 55cm) 5,000 won / M (56–70cm) 8,000 / L (71cm+) 10,000. 1,000–2,000 won per extra hour, max 10,000–20,000 a day.
- Send it to the airport or your hotel: S from 20,000 won / M from 24,000 / L from 28,000.
- Same-day delivery has a cutoff. At 5 PM the sign already said "Today's delivery is closed." Go early.
Option 3: Limousine bus
The hardest part is checking if there's a stop near where you're going. The bus company website often doesn't load. Use Naver Map (네이버 지도): search your address and it shows the airport bus and the stop.
The drivers are very kind, and the bus is fast even when the roads are busy. Two things to watch:
- Sometimes you meet the commuter crowd and there are no seats left. Go to the stop early.
- There's no toilet on the bus. Go before you get on.
Paying:
- To the airport: tap your transport card (T-money) when you get on.
- From the airport: buy a ticket first. Terminal 1 has ticket counters on 1F (inside near gates 4 and 7, outside near gates 4 and 6). Terminal 2 has ticket machines on B1.
- Fare: about 17,000 won for adults.
Option 4: Call van (콜밴), for 3+ people with a lot of luggage

We just did this from the airport: 4 big suitcases, 1 small one, 2 bags and a cat.
If you're 3 or more people with a lot of luggage, just take the van. A normal taxi won't fit it all, so you'd need two. And watching the meter go up is stressful. The van has a fixed price for each area, so you know what you'll pay before you leave.
Airport taxis play tricks more than you'd think. The van didn't at all. Even I was surprised, and I live here.
At the airport: come out of arrivals and walk to the right. Find the call van counter (콜밴 안내 카운터). Tell them where you're going and they give you the price. We landed at Terminal 2 and paid 90,000 won to Oksu-dong (옥수동), tolls included.
Going to the airport: call or email the counter to book.
Only use the official counter. Ignore anyone who walks up to you offering a ride.
- Terminal 1: counter on 1F between gates 12 and 13, pick-up at 10C. Call 032-743-0828 or email [email protected]
- Terminal 2: counter near gate 7, pick-up at 8D. Call 032-743-0831 or email [email protected]
- Open 8:00 AM–9:00 PM every day. Up to 5 people.
- Checked October 2026.
